Julian Beever is an English chalk artist who creates trompe-l’oeil (French for “trick the eye”) chalk drawings on pavement surfaces. He uses anamorphosis in his work, which is a distorted projection that creates a three-dimensional illusion when the viewer occupies a certain vantage point.
I totally agree. You know… what with the er… juxtaposition of the design with those linear quartiles… it is indeed fascinating. XD
